Production just started for ‘Syrup’. You can read Max Barry (Syrup’s author) blog about the movie here. He already posted a few things about Shiloh:
It was also my first look at Shiloh Fernandez, outside of “Red Riding Hood” trailers, and holy hell, he is wonderful. He said lines and they magically became way better than they sounded in my head. He was Scat sprung to life. (People call him “Scat” even when he’s not acting, which reinforced my feeling that I had invented him.)
(…)
At the end of the day, I met Shiloh and Kellan and found them to be incredibly friendly and charming. I feel so grateful to these guys for not sucking. I should probably think of a better way to express that. What I mean is: you know when you have an awesome dream and you try to explain it to someone? And as it’s coming out of your mouth you realize this actually sounds incredibly lame. These guys are making the dream sound awesome.
I seriously can’t shake the feeling that I’m talking to Scat.

We have a new layout created by Transfixx Productions. Hope you like it!

Included on the Red Riding Hood Blu-ray edition are many of these special extras including casting tapes, the making of the wolf, gag reels and deleted scenes. Hardwicke also shot an alternate ending, which appears on the Blu-ray edition. “As a director, every moment when you’re on set you try to be creative in that moment and one moment during filming I had this crazy idea and thought, ‘why don’t you try this?’ So I shot a different ending and then we tried it as one of the possible endings for the final version and I liked it a lot. I think the final one you saw in theaters might be better but I like them both. It’s kind of like a contest, ‘which one is more interesting?’”
